Canada’s government is planning to finalize about 6000 caregivers application for Permanent Residence till December 31, 2021.
What is Caregiver Program?
As of June 18, 2019 , Canada has introduced two pilot programs
- Home Child Care Provider Pilot (NOC – 4411)
- Home Support Worker Pilot (NOC – 4412)
These pilot programs provide in home caregivers with the opportunity to become a Permeant Resident once they have 02 years of eligible work experience in Canada.
Main benefit of these programs is it also let their family members come to Canada to work or study while they get work experience. For instance spouse gets an open work permit and children can get an education among the globally recognized institutions if they are younger than age of 22.
The primary eligibility criteria to apply under this program is as follows :
- IELTS score : 5 to 5.5 bands
- Qualification : 12th + 01 year certificate course (Drop out 01 year bachelor or diploma study won’t considered)
- Work Experience : At least 02 years of experience in nursing or teaching field
After get selected by the employers candidates could submit their permanent residence application through one of these two programs. Candidates also have to submit a work permit application along with their permanent residence application. If they meet the permanent resident criteria, they’ll get a work permit.
The work permit will be valid for 03 years. And the foremost benefit of applying under this program is candidate can commence their permanent residence application simultaneously with their work permit application.
